Casino Art of the Number TWO

Casino resorts are now using lasers, flashing lights, choreographed fountains – all to create an atmosphere that can dazzle crowds of people. Does this detract from the real purpose of the casino? In other words, aren't all those flashing lights a distraction for a business that hosts games like poker and blackjack? Not at all. The atmosphere that the glitz creates draws people to the casino. Whether some of them decide to stay and play or not is their own decision. And the casino resorts have found that letting people decide for themselves is the best strategy. So instead of pushing the games, the casinos spend their marketing dollars on the kind of attractions that will attract the largest possible number of people. And that's where the lasers and lights and fountains come in. And the shows will continue to get more and more elaborate because that's what works.
